Registration for Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 is now open!!

 

The initial URJ Heller High Application takes about 15 minutes to complete and includes a $200 refundable deposit. Submission of this application holds your spot in the class.

How to Apply


Step 1

Begin the online application. Follow the online registration instructions.

Step 2

Upload your photo to the online application.

Step 3
Share a copy of Share a copy of Heller High at a Glance with you guidance counselor and make an appointment to meet and discuss your courses. Ask that they complete the online Guidance Counselor recommendation Form with a copy of your most recent transcript attached, provide a copy of your most recent IEP or 504, if applicable, and complete either the  Semester Study Authorization Form or the Semester Study Authorization Form for Canadian Students Only.

Step 4
Ask your Rabbi to complete and return the online Rabbinical Recommendation.

Step 5
Have your physician complete the Medical Exam Form, including immunization history.

Step 6
Fill out the forms that can only be completed online: Israel Program Survey (student), Online Health History (parent), and Passport Information.

Step 7
Print the B’rit Kehillah (Code of Conduct) and Release Letter and Final Waiver – read, sign and upload the signature pages to your online application.

Step 8
Write your essay and fill out as much of the Hebrew Questionnaire as you can.

Step 9
Make an appointment with the Director of Admissions for a phone interview!

Each completed application is carefully reviewed by the Director of Admissions who looks for candidates who are a right “fit” for the program. The review includes an evaluation of the applicant’s academic background and grades earned, as well as an interview. Additionally, the committee takes into account your essay, letters of recommendation, commitment to Jewish life and learning, and interest in the program. Applications for financial aid do not affect admissions decisions.

CampInTouch is our secure registration system. You must complete the registration process in one session. You will not be able to save and restart an online application later.

A deposit of $200 is due upon registration. We accept Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover ONLY), Debit Card, or eCheck for the deposit and any subsequent payments. Please note that a non-refundable 2.75% credit card processing fee will be added to all credit card transactions (not applicable to Debit Cards or eChecks). We are not accepting family payments via physical checks at this time.
