  • The Challenges and Rewards of Climbing Masada

    Climbing the steep, seemingly never-ending steps up the snake trail to Masada, was one of the hardest, but most rewarding and eye-opening experiences so far during my time here. Masada became a symbol of resilience for me, my faith in my own ability, and the strength of my Jewish community here at EIE.

  • 500 Years of History in One Week!

    Sunday, we visited several sites to get a sense of what it was like to live in First Temple Jerusalem. The rain hampered us a bit but, from the places we were able to visit like the First Temple Museum, we could visualize what Jerusalem was like 3,000 years ago.

  • Have You Ever Seen Such a Beautiful Place?

    “ARE THOSE CACTI?!” I shouted as my friends and I walked up the Tel. Sure enough, there were dozens and dozens of cacti surrounding the dirt path that lead to our destination. But, unsurprisingly, the cacti were nowhere close to the most beautiful part of our short hike.
